When your formulation includes fillers, reinforcements, colour masterbatch or multiple components that must be dispersed evenly, a twin screw line does the job a single screw cannot.

Two intermeshing screws give far stronger mixing and dispersion. The self-wiping action keeps material from building up on the screw, which matters for formulations that degrade if they sit too long at temperature. Co-rotating and counter-rotating configurations are available — counter-rotating geometry is the usual choice for heat-sensitive PVC.

Typical applications: masterbatch, filled and reinforced compounds, engineering plastics, recycled feedstock, devolatilisation.
