Washed film and scrap with residual moisture are hard on a single-stage pelletizer: trapped water shows up as voids and unstable die pressure. The two-stage arrangement separates the tasks.

The first stage screw conveys, melts and vents the material; the second stage builds the pressure the die needs at a stable, controlled rate. Between the stages the melt is degassed, which is what makes the system suitable for film and other feedstock with relatively high moisture content.

Capacity is in the 150-500 kg/h range depending on material and moisture level.
