A socketed pipe joint needs a formed, dimensionally accurate bell on one end. The SGK series automates that step: the pipe end is heated, formed over the sizing mandrel and cooled, so the socket comes off ready for solvent-cement or rubber-ring jointing.

Two models cover the range — the SGK4020 for smaller pipe and the SGK6330 for larger diameters, both running automatically in step with the line or as an off-line station.

Forming temperature and cycle are set per diameter and wall thickness, and the changeover between sizes is a tooling change.
