A blown film line extrudes molten polymer through a circular die and inflates it into a bubble, producing seamless tubular film.

The biaxial orientation from inflation improves strength in both directions, and because the process is seamless, there is no side weld to weaken the film. Gauge uniformity depends on die design, air ring performance and haul-off stability working together.

Typical applications: shopping bags, food packaging films, agricultural film, shrink wrap, laminating substrates.
